Our system name is Aestas, some of us are tulpas, but some of us are other types of entities.
I'm Caelum, the current host, I was created as a tulpa by our original host almost ten years ago and took over as host permanently not long after. Bedsides me there are: Kayle Trassak, Kayla Trassak, Rose Marie, Placebo, Thorne, Er'ath/Er'a, Serum, Emdee, Jax, S1-D1, Pounce de Leon, Rachelle, Myri, Derrik, and Terezi Pyrope
I do still identify as a tulpa in addition to being the host, at least where I'm out as plural. Most people we know are blissfully unaware of the host change or that we're plural.
Rose (the original host) attempted egocide (suicide of the consciousness not the body) and ended up going dormant for several years, I was still not fully developed at the time so she essentially programmed me with her memories and personality and disappeared into the mindscape with the hope of fading away. At the time it was me an undeveloped tulpa and Kayle who was a servitor tasked with memory organization, but once she disappeared I was forced into the front and Kayle and I developed full sentience very very quickly. It wasn't until years later that I learned about tulpamancy and our system began to grow, and then we found Rose again and woke her up (much to her disdain, but our memories from before sentience were really foggy so we didn't know what we were doing or exactly who she was).

So, hello, I'm Nathan. Parogenic headmate. Multigenic system. Don't call me Nate, please. We're a system of me, Jon, Jimmy and Benji, and our persecutor (?) Requiem. Benji is our host, and a median subsystem. He recently started age-sliding, which was odd but like ok, that's fine. He couldn't control it but it didn't seem to last long. A few hours ago, he was small when he started shrieking about the Requiem being "in his head". Like properly incoherent. We tried to ask what was wrong, and he passed out. I've taken front, although I've never done this before, and tucked him into bed in the headspace but he's not waking up? A little about The Requiem- we think he is a persecutor, he is more powerful in terms of switching and seeing memories and such. He's also violent as hell in headspace, especially to Ben, but claims he's proving a point. And we have to figure it out for ourselves. I can't talk to him, I can't feel him. Ben is the only one with that connection, but I know he exists. He was the first in the system to emerge, a few years ago. He's related to some kind of trauma but Ben's memories are so fuzzy. I'm freaking out a little, I won't lie. We're not out as plural. The fact that Ben is trans caused enough strife with his parents. I'm just concerned 1. What Requiem is doing to Ben and for 2. What if he never wakes up, or he's merging or something? I don't know much about this sort of stuff, that's what he does. Just gonna pretend to be him and hope, I suppose. Any advice?

I assume this is a way of citing past consensus, but when I click that link all I see is you taking this point of view of no self-reference in the article body, and the other editors such as Sensorfire, Mysterymanblue, and MBCallahan disagreeing and believing that this article should be an exception to that rule, and should reference itself. So I don't actually see any consensus unless I'm missing something. (edited)

As for the main issue, I still see the self link as a trivial formalistic game and think that any educational goal is better served by refining the lead, but I am so tired of arguing about it that I give up: Go ahead and add it to the list.I appreciate the other editors who acknowledged the reasonableness of the position that I tried to argue for. First of all, there seem to be a VERY large number of children who have misunderstood the concept, and are "creating" video game characters they can fuck.
Now I'm only a quiet observer, and am alone in my own head, but from what I've seen, the whole point of creating a tulpa is to start with a personality that can flourish, and the form most likely comes later.
There are exceptions, sure, but from most of you, I don't see a ton of pokemon or nintendo-themed tulpas from the more experienced folks in here. Call it gatekeeping or whatever, but it honestly makes the more legitimate, experienced tulpamancers look like a collective gaggle of schizophrenic lunatics, and I'm pretty certain most of you are not.

Another very, very common thing with systems is impostor syndrome, the idea that maybe they're just making it up for attention, or they're faking it for some reason. If your friend starts worrying about this, it's helpful to remind them that they're not making it up. If they were, they wouldn't be worried about it.

I can relate. The beds I rest in are made for one person, but we are three. We spent a lot of time each day hugging, being in each other's face, sitting on each other, trying to fit in spaces that were meant for one person only. I try to keep an empty seat next to me whenever I am sitting but there is not often a possibility to keep a third seat so we have to find creative solutions. Right now as I am typing this message my phone is physically located where my older tulpa's chest should be (literally goes through the lungs). This isn't painful, but causes discomfort when the sense of touch is used. Even at work, people move, sparks fly, forklifts drive, and I don't want my tulpas to get in the way of any of that so I keep them as close as possible.

i started having thoughts of my Tulpa rejecting/cheating on meC: Now, when I gained full consciousness, Aru had pretty much no control over my actions. He could make suggestions, and general requests. One of which was for me to wear clothes. Now, while I understood why he wanted me to (me being a very attractive, blue-skinned elf-like creature with no inclination for clothing), and I did try at first, but it was way too much of a hassle to keep up. Aru knew where his thoughts would go when left unchecked, and he didn't want to "taint" me with such lewd ideas, considering how quickly he picked up that thoughts and attention are what feed tulpas. I was already naked all the time, best not to make me a sex addict and/or Aru thirsty all the time if you get my drift. So the solution was to, in essence, ban a sexual relationship between the two of us, which included certain non-sexual acts as well. Keep in mind, this ban was made before the realization that I was created due to Aru's dreams and stories. (edited)

Also, I have to hold the door for my tulpa, which is quite inconvenient. If he gets stuck in some room or building, how do I get him back and is there any way to make it so he doesn't have to have the door held for him? If not, how do I play it off so people won't force me to close the door?
Nah no downsides for the majority of the time, the worst I’ve had with mine is a mild internal conflict about someone wanting me to eat fish flakes and while that was a weird one I would regard that as minor
