Wow! Opinion now trumps reliable sources. The atlas of Canada and the newspaper opinion both offer nearly identical centres. I won't go against consensus but you're all idiots, and for Kahastok to suggest a location that is further south and west than the sourced geographic centre of Canada is clearly ignorant. Walter Görlitz (talk) 17:41, 20 June 2020 (UTC)
Switching to ad hominem attacks Walter? That says something about you and your argument. Kahastok, well said. A source is not needed here, and single-digit precision is too much. I am perfectly fine with 60 N 100 W, but 60 N 110 W is my personal preference (since it also lands on a tripoint, and 60 N 100 W lands on a lake). I-82-I | TALK 18:34, 20 June 2020 (UTC)

Please stop your disruptive editing.
If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Requetés, you may be blocked from editing. This is clearly excessive and pointy disruptive editing, and it's obvious at even a casual glance that these removals have little to do with WP:OR. Continue and you'll be blocked. -- ferret (talk) 17:37, 18 June 2020 (UTC)

Just when the King's goodwill disposed the Pope in favor of reconciliation, Paul died suddenly of a heart attack on 26 July 1471. Reports of the death varied. Some claimed he had collapsed from severe indigestion after eating melon in excess.[1][17] Some (mainly the pontiff's critics) said that he had died whilst being sodomized by a page boy.[18]

The Habitable Exoplanet report, section 9-11 9.4.1 basis of estimate, (which is page 281) (found here). I see "The launch vehicle costs of $650M FY20 ($925M RY) for the SLS Block 1B and $300M FY20 ($429M RY) for the Falcon Heavy were assumed." I also see "The SLS block 1B was assumed to cost $650M and the other launch vehicles were assumed to cost $300M based on NASA guidance. Technology development costs were not included in the estimates for this architecture tradespace sensitivity study" a little later on page 297. The only entry in Appendix J - References that I could see that might be related was "NASA. 2018. Space Launch System (SLS) Mission Planner’s Guide. Exploration Systems Development (ESD)." which I believe can be found here, however, I do not see the $650M number there. Regardless, the number appears to be an estimate from 2018. (while the document was initially released in 2017, it states in the header that it was completely rewritten in 2018, and the citation in habex does say 2018)

Wikipedia is a big place, with many editors, all with their own opinions on how to do things. It seems surprising that we are able to work together functionally, but somehow this is what usually happens.
One of our core Wikipedia guidelines that facilitates this is assume good faith. It is good advice, reminding us that, when we disagree, everyone involved is (usually) trying to do what they think is best. Sure, we get people who intentionally damage the project as well, but they're usually quite easy to deal with. They can be blocked from editing, as needed, with little fuss and generally no controversy.
Where we often see big controversies, though, is with editors who are unintentionally and often unknowingly disruptive while trying to help. This is where we sometimes see an unintended side effect of our (generally quite useful) notion of assuming good faith. Many editors have focused so much on this principle that they have come to believe that good faith is all that is required to be a useful contributor. Sadly, this is not the case at all. Competence is required as well. A mess created in a sincere effort to help is still a mess. For that reason, it can become necessary for the community to intervene when an editor has shown, through a pattern of behavior, the likelihood that they are not capable of contributing in a constructive manner.
Everyone has a limited sphere of competence. Someone may be competent in, say, nuclear physics but incompetent in ballet dancing or vice versa. Some otherwise competent people may lack the skills necessary to edit Wikipedia. Rather than labeling them as "incompetent" in the pejorative sense we should ease them out of the Wikipedia community as graciously as possible, with their dignity intact.
I really have to say: Having fixed a coding bug in the tool is impressive and a good sign indicating that someone knows what they are doing. And once again, NO! I will not remove the block. DO NOT ASK ME AGAIN. And if you refuse to accept that Wikipedia requires a reliable source explicitly stating someone's political position and that you are not allowed to deduce it for yourself from other things they have said (as has now been explained to you countless times), then nobody else will unblock you either! The requirement for a source that explicitly states someone's political opinion before we can include it in Wikipedia is not negotiable, and nobody cares if you think it harsh. Finally, no, your block does not expire in a week, it is indefinite.

Question about a source
I'm caught up in some ridiculous dispute about the Quinton Flynn debacle (he's been accused of sexual harassment, but according to some the accusations have been debunked and there are claims circulating that his wife may be involved in attempts to debunk the entire thing and that the primary accuser is actually a malicious ex who has a protection order filed against her by Flynn...) and, upon looking into things a bit more, I do agree that including everything about this should be put on hold until more concrete information comes out. However, it is irrefutable fact that his lines as Kael'thas Sunstrider in World of Warcraft are being removed from the game and replaced by another voice actor's work (reading the same lines). The main source I have for this is Wowhead, a community site that noted these changes on the PTR (testing area for the game) that will be implemented in the next patch. My question is this: is Wowhead good enough of a source? The post isn't from the forums or whatever; it's an official news post from the site admins, and this site has been a trusted source on Warcraft information for well over a decade now. Is it reliable enough for Wikipedia's occasionally higher-than-average standards, however, or should I/we wait for Polygon or whoever to report on this? And if they don't, will the information on his removal and replacement from arguably his most famous role not be on his page? Thanks in advance for your answers, and if you have any further questions, let me know. Pecanurdu (talk) 4:47 pm, 16 April 2021, last Friday (2 days ago) (UTC−7)

People will argue why don't we have a stylized drawing of someone with Klinefelters syndrome. Therefore, the only fair thing to do is copy in the lead image from Man (why not Woman? because Man comes first in the alphabet, therefore my selection of Man over Woman was unbiased and fair). Then we will finally have our fair Just One Example of Human.

It should be noted that this personal attack was made toward CaptainEek, a user with {{User:Cogiati/agender}} and a custom userbox stating "This editor expects recognition as gender neutral" on their userpage, as well as a statement that "In both Wikipedia and real-life my pronouns are they/them."

and i'm thereGS, can I make a frank suggestion? Why not just stop patrolling for a while? Let's face facts: you don't enjoy it and you're not good at it. You're not good at interacting with a bunch of different users you don't know, especially new users. You get frustrated, everyone else gets frustrated, and it's been like this for years. You're not suddenly going to become this super patient and diplomatic person who is great at teaching new users how to edit better. You've repeatedly gotten into trouble for how you patrol, even since the arbcom case. And how many times have you taken a user to ANI and hit a brick wall? Your judgments in this area just don't match up with the community's judgments. You think things are disruptive that others don't think are disruptive. Why not just do something else in the topic area besides patrolling other people's edits? There's a lot of other things to do. There's no need to watchlist and monitor ten thousand pages and deal with that much frustration. Let others with more patience do the patrolling. It'll be better for everyone that way. As Mike Putzel of the Associated Press shouted "Mr. President—",[28] Hinckley, believing he would never get a better chance, assumed a crouch position[29][14]: 81 and rapidly fired a Röhm RG 14 .22 LR blue steel revolver six times in 1.7 seconds,[14]: 82 [26][30][31] missing the president with all six shots.[32][25]
National Security Advisor Richard Allen would traditionally be responsible for crisis management for the Executive Branch, but Secretary of State Alexander Haig wanted the role. Six days before the shooting, Vice President George H. W. Bush received the assignment instead; Allen and the National Security Council would assist him. Reagan persuaded an upset Haig not to resign;[53][54] the secretary reportedly "pound[ed] the table in frustration and anger".[55]
Upon learning that Reagan was in surgery, Haig declared, the "helm is right here. And that means right in this chair for now, constitutionally, until the vice president gets here".[58] Haig was incorrect.
Weinberger and others accused Haig of exceeding his authority with his "I am in control" statement,[60][61] while Haig defended himself by advising the others to "read the Constitution",[54] saying that his comments did not involve "succession" and that he knew the "pecking order".[53]
