This is just what this specific rock looked like when it got converted. It would be cool to have different coloured rocks everywhere. But I would like to have more gray ish rocks with moss on top of them at this place.

It’s hard cause with ivy growth it will always grow from some place in the middle first. So dunno if I can really prevent the density from happening in that specific area

focus for whoever works on stuff next
procedural caves:
randomize the cut off parts at top and bottom
a little bit of smoothing / randomization throughout to dampen the pattern
the model rock caves are pretty good, dont need work
some half designed caves need work
river paths need fixing / waterflow from a higher place through tunnels
high potential for cool hidden waterfalls and shit
if you need a big special room you gotta do it fucking now and not cry about it in half a year cause it will be too late(edited)
I mean it works great for shaving the beard... And the battery life on this thing is insane actually, this is the first time i had to charge it and i got it months ago

Ppl today I charged my ball hair trimmer while working on cave. Whenever you are trying to find an excuse not to work on cave, remember this post.
Work 5am-1:30pm, home by 2pm most days. Workout for 1-1.5 hrs each day and any other miscellaneous tasks done before 6:30pm. Then shower, dinner, and bed by 8-8:30pm. All times in EST

@Brother Capy we have 128b above the original for terrain but i forgot to mention that we kinda want some space to build on top too :p
so the top peaks can reach max but elsewhere lets try to keep a decent bit left
in the center your bottom seemed to be close above the crack so i think its good

What I was trying to say in lodge for 40 minutes but I’m stupid : the base texturing is done- highlights shadows and the in betweens. If you want to not fully redo the area for your texturing then yk remove the in betweens and keep the shadows and highlights. Or just //replace with your palette if u want to do it super simply. If u want a texturing class to fully do ur own lmk - I did most of cave procedurally and can show some better tips. If u wanna reset an area and do it fresh, feel free! But do it in the tunnels not main cave open area. Main cave open area is already decided and if u texture if it will probably get owned.
Also, sorry for removing the 1.12 texturing, we wanted the best spawnmaosn base we could get since 1.19 added a lot and if u want ur tunnels they are around 10k blocks away backed up - ask entropy for them if u want back to work on them or implement into new cave(edited)

i moved joe cave and some winter cave to the current workplace
when the stars align me and capy will continue work on the subbiomes in the big caves
but the small caves and everything around them are free to do shaping / coloring work
so if you want to have terrain for a build in the future
you gotta prep it now
