I don't think it matters if people know the numbers/outcome of votes. I think initiates should know who voted no on them as then they can try and work towards getting to know those people better or try and resolve any problems with them.

It seems like the easiest way to deal with initiates is to reject all of them and stop inviting new members. If people are going to get triggered by every person in the discord that they have the slightest little issue with, we shouldn't bring in new people at all. In fact, lets just each separate into smaller groups with just one member each. That way we never have to argue about anything. No fighting over applicants, no politically charged arguments, not bigots, no problem. Or we could start giving people a fair shake and checking our elitism at the door. We could accept the nominations of our fellow brothers, even if we don't love every applicant, then get to know them and make informed and fair votes on them. I think I might have a solution to the multiple votes argument. People are upset that we re-vote on certain initiates but not on all of them. This is obviously a stupid argument because it isn't just random. We don't re-vote on initiates that a large portion of the group dislikes, or initiates that have good reasons for 'no' votes. We re-vote on initiates that nearly get enough support or that people say they haven't gotten the chance to form on opinion yet. Unfortunately, some idiots can't seem to wrap their minds around this concept because there isn't a hard rule to these decisions. So lets make a hard rule. For example, we could make the rule that a brother can only vouch for an initiate one time. If the vote doesn't pass, it's up to another brother to vouch for the initiate again to have a re-vote, otherwise, the initiate gets removed. Thoughts?

Thank you for writing that out. In any case, he's made a name for himself on the server. Something very few people do. We disagree on him not being interesting and coming across as slow. I think you'll find this to be the opposite while you interact with him for a while here. You do have a point on the poor company thing, but those people have always been the types that seem totally normal for months, and then have an unpredictable outburst. Can't really blame him for that in my opinion. I think he also has redeeming aspects about how he spends his time here. He gets invited to all these cool bases for a reason, he's a good base mate with a proven track record of not being a shitter. (edited)
