Has anyone seen the remake of Agatha Christie's: Death on the Nile? It was awesome and I recommend it for those of you who love crime mystery movies.

it's also worth mentioning that Murder on the Orient Express was awesome as well.
Death on the Nile is a 2022 mystery film directed by Kenneth Branagh from a screenplay by Michael Green, based on the 1937 novel of the same name by Agatha Christie. It was produced by Branagh, Ridley Scott, Judy Hofflund, and Kevin J. Walsh. The film is a sequel to Murder on the Orient Express (2017), and stars Tom Bateman, Annette Bening, Bran...

terrible cgi, terrible adr, terrible music, terrible casting, wooden delivery of lines, basically no one is a good actor in the entire movie, etc. but that's not the point i seriously think all yall didn't watch the movie. some of these 1/2 star reviewers watched the trailer or some snippets on youtube. literally every single "in vacuo" problema...
I was an au pair girl, taking care of 3 children in a rich family. It was an interesting time to learn how to deal with children and to live away from my parents the first time (with 18). And difficult because I had some mental health stuff going on I didn't understood but the time. But all in all an experience I don't want to miss
I know!!! And I also was very sad about not meeting up with you, futsin, pint and leijurv, being part of a toe nail video, taking shrooms and all the other stuff. It will not have been the last road trip. So maybe we can arrange another camping meetup in 2024. I now have all the credit cards needed, I will not run into those issues ever again.
Yes, there's lots of art stuff here. Lots of artists come here and I bet there are little crazy galleries all over the city. And terbin ofc, as well as giganox. And p5 isn't far as well. And ppl just travel there for the night clubs, also because they have a very liberal drug policy
Definitively, that is one part of German culture. Todarac probably has a better view on the different German cultures since he saw a ton of different places
It's not very long to go to Brussels or Amsterdam from Germany, 2-3h by train. And you can get a month worth of all European trains for 500 dollars, if you don't want to get a car. A highway worker friend did this kind of trip this year

yeah i need a 3d printer super useful for making models

also with 3d printer if you ever decide to take things u a notch and move to investment/lost wax casting you can use certain types of filiment for that instead of wax and can make much more detailed things you cant make with sand casting

im only just started that. actually never cast lost wax but currently working on the molds

I just stripped all the seats now I just need to trace the plywood seat bases, cut new wood, lay fiberglass over it, lay down apholstry foam, trim it with a foam trimmer, and lay down the new fabric, then bolt it back together = not having to pay someone 500 dollars to do it
This resin works well. It is easy to prepare, excellent application. Hards fast, but not too fast, so there is enough time to work calmly. The result will satisfy. The only downside is the terrible smell. It needs extremely good ventilation. After complete curing, the smell disappears completely.

i actually have a really nice collection of gems and stones i should show off

i have this nice little piece of bismuth that i'm really proud of because it's just such a beautiful color
05:16
it was a stunning find at an amazin price, to say the least(edited)
i prefer finding my own. i dont buy. i have a homemade rock saw i got and fixed up. just a motor powering a diamond blade in a box
as for bismuth ive made those crystals and even geode like stuff its super easy. ive seen they sell them for like $50 each but i can make dozens for that same $
uh someone else made it i just had to fab up a stand and then mount a motor and pulley and belt because the way they original maker had it was loud and too fast.
05:21
if you have a shop and tools it wouldnt be hard but to buy a real nice saw is thousands. but a tile saw is cheap at hardware stores and works fine
yeah some frond thing. it was a big landslide in 2013 i hiked to. that piece there is too big to carry. i brought home many smaller pieces. there was a prehistoric giant bird footprint found there and its in a local college on display now.

My newest masterpiece, I poured everything I learned in the last year to paint this gigachad of a primarch, even made the different heads interchangable on small pins and Im so happy with the result
step 1. buy or print a model
step 2. assemble or in most of my cases, sub-assemble the model(makes it easier to paint)
step 3. prime with prime paint or spray
step 4. spend WAY too much time painting it with the smallest brushes you can imagine
step 5. final assembly and touchups
step 6. gloat (edited)

Normally, we think nothing of it, because the sun is round, and a dot of round light on the ground is unremarkable to us - we assume it’s just a blob of light from a small point. We don’t thin...

Recently I've fallen down a New York City Urban Exploring legend rabbit hole that has yet to be offically solved during my exploring..
The 76th st sttation has been something only rumored to exist, said to be built yet nobody has been able to find its location. Theres physical evidence including plans and schematics for the station but nothing to prove its existence. During one of my explorations I ran into a large cinderblock wall covered in graffiti at the end of a tunnel followed up with a temporary layup track. After doing research, asking around the community and doing my own digging (there was a shovel and I took 40 minutes to try and dig under the wall. I looked it up and encountered the mystery of the 76th st station. Whats past this cinderlock wall? Its not entirely known.. An article published by a Columbia Professor in 2002 describes on what happened with the station, Said to be behind the cinderblock wall... this paper showed the only physical photo reference matched with pictures of switch boards... this was all fake... the paper was published on April fools as a joke by the professor poking fun at the topic as its been an urban legend. He claimed it to be budgetting issues due to world war 2 but it was all a lie... or was it? In the tunnel you can find signals against the wall showing a train would go where the wall is... soo..whats on the other side of the wall? First theres sand so efforts of drilling wasnt useful and was done by multiple other people... heres the truth to the 76th st station... the station was an ambitious project that was pictured but didnt bear fruit.. The tunnel itself was constructed and was built (where the cinderblock wall is) but the station was never built. the tracks were laid helping with the connection back to the yard and neighborring stations (making this as easy to understand as possible). Due to the "fuck it" attitude of the track workers they did shit even if they werent cleared... they also didnt think about water! the area they built the tunnel in is flood prone.. the area of the proposed station was no good! The tunnel was then closed off entirely to most likely help with structureal support, keeping out water and the construction of a layup for trains. During this rabbit hole I encountered other stations that were abandoned as well.. stations arent just abanaoneded dor fun.. theres a reason... In short the city said "fuck it... lets do shit while we can" and in result of getting rid of the old LIRR and other tracks for local and express trains as well as new train models needing better equipment theres well over 25+ abandoned platforms, stations and tunnels.. Following the closure of these tunnels came the homelessness. On my way to another spot in the subway system I've also encountered a completely dead track.... in the middle of a city... The track proven to not be needed due to its inconveience and small nature, the homeless saw that the tracks were getting dismantled and moved in directly on the tracks, in 1998 they were all moved and swept away... not true... I went down there and let me tell you, the subway dwellers are still existing and oh boy do they produce trash.. TRASH TRASH TRASH is all I saw, bags dating back to 1998, old dollkill clothes with studs on them, lots of budwiser cans and all. i dont know where I'm truly going with this but I just wanted to share my expereinces with rabbit holes and urabn legends and history.
here are links to what I reference including images from people who have worked on finding out the mystery as well:
exploration article exploring the idea, lots of insightful comments

Just some shots of the area surrounding one of the largest mysteries in the NYC underground.
15:39
The cinderblock wall I mentioned is in the picture, the cinderblock wall still there and remains...
In conclusion what seems to be the logical answer for the existence of the 76th st station is that the station itself never existed but the tunnel and the tracks exist but are most likely flooded entirely and its best that nobody goes through that wall.. the elusive wall thats started such a stir up with no intention
There may be no other station more contentious among transit buffs than the 76th Street subway station in Queens, an IND station on the A line near Ozone Park

You can see the cinderblock wall to the right in this image
Bare pavement today and usually until you get to the parking lot. But if you go in the middle of a storm it can be a little slippery but it's plowed often.
2 feet of powder is normal weekly occurrence for me but 7 feet is crazy. Going through the trees gets risky. One mistake fall or lose speed and you cant get up. Endlessly deep snow. But the steep runs where you normally have to speed check and work moguls you can just send it in 2 feet pow
In New York there are a bunch of random oddities (I'm sure you guys know).. especially in nature. New Yorks Urban decay is always a result of poor planning decisions and the development of technology. The Abandoned LIRR Rockaway Branch In Queens New York was apart of a longer stretch down to rockaway beach providing an amazing form of transit for commutors especially being built in 1880. The tracks were said to be "horribly planned" due to its zoning. In 1962 the line was closed entirely left to be abandoned. Here are 2 pictures of the abandoned Woodhaven Blvd Station on the line in 1965, 3 years after it was abandoned.
15:25
Further down the line a little past the Ozone Park station lies the nest of a massive spider. The massive spider said to be designed and made by theworld graffiti artist and metal worker REVS (not confirmed). The Spider was an unoffical tourist attraction until it was removed (possibly fallen) in 2004.
The spider was something of pride for the locals at the time and was something teenagers enjoyed visiting in the rebellious days in the 80s and 90s

The tracks now are apart of peoples backyards, making all efforts to make the tracks a public space almost impossible (like why would the city give access to peoples backyards so easily.). THese tracks will most likely lay abandoned until the steel is removed out of the ground and recycled or completely reused as another form of transportation. These tracks mean a lot to me as I went to school not far from them at all. As a kid me and my friends before middle school used to go to a part of the tracks to chill and hang out. Pictured below is a photograph by LTVsquad of where me and my friends used to hang out :3. It used to be an old wooden bridge that would connect the rails together. The bridge would obviously have to be repaired and added again.

Reading up on these tracks and exploring there remains lead me to this little lip under the new and current LIRR. This spot was an early spot for metalheads in the early 90s. The space has been ran through hundreds and hundreds of times with random graffiti so the walls look like utter chaos..Now theres some cool graff pieces down there but I dont have any pictures (no flash light). Throughout the years the space has been filled and emptied with dirt over and over... why? who fuckin knows.. Theres part of the lip that are completely packed in with dirt and a year later you'll return and itll be epty with another random part of it filled with dirt up to the ceiling.
ive only done snow twice but its literally the same mechanics to powerslide or longboard slide. Hurts less than pavement and way easier to go fast af. Maybe still spend an morning with a private tutor to learn the mechanics and etiquette.(edited)
